WHAT
WE DO
At Casa de la Cultura – South Omaha, we are proud to be a cultural anchor for the Latino community. Through preservation, education, youth engagement, and vibrant events, we celebrate our heritage while paving the way for future generations.

Rooted in South Omaha, our mission is to preserve our past, empower our youth, and bring people together to experience the richness of Latino culture.

Historic Preservation
From music and publications to historical exhibits and local firsts, Casa de la Cultura is dedicated to honoring and preserving the richness of Latino heritage in Omaha. Our storytelling celebrates over 105 years of Mexican festivals and the pioneers who paved the way.
Youth Development
We invest in our youth through Barrientos Scholars programs, internships, STEM exploration, and cultural traditions like the Señorita Program. By connecting young people with leadership and legacy, we help build a brighter tomorrow.

Tourism & Cultural Engagement
Whether it’s through cultural tours, presentations, or our monthly newsletter, we open doors for people to discover and celebrate Latino heritage right here in South Omaha. Our signature events and networking opportunities invite everyone to join.
Community Events
Our annual events—including Cinco de Mayo Omaha, Fiestas Patrias, Mi Casa es su Casa, and Las Posadas—bring thousands together to celebrate identity, tradition, and joy.
Every celebration is rooted in cultura and powered by community.
